I am Attila Szabó, a freelance web developer living in Slovakia. I’ve been working professionally with the web since 2001.

First of all I must say that I am not a designer. I always prefer programming to design. I wrote my first program in C at middle school. After graduation I was jobless. I was worried about my future. I did not know what to do how to find a job. Then I decided to order my first book about HTML. I started writing my first web pages. They were rather primitive. I used to steal JavaScript codes and especially design tricks from sites I liked. I analysed and sometimes also improved them. I got programming and design experiences by doing this. By the way, there were no good books on the market about how to create beautiful web pages at that time.

Later I took up PHP programming. I was impressed about its simplicity and power. At that time I was learning Visual Basic as well. I began to write a web traffic log file analyzer in VB, but I never could finish it because I got a job in Bratislava as a web developer with a foreign company from Austria. I am grateful to this company because I learned a lot while I was working for them.

Since 2005 I have been working as a self employed web developer. I earned BSc in information technology in 2007.
